What is Fluff?

What Is Fluff?

I continue to see and read this has to much fluff, this content is just all fluff, or fluff just does not sell.  This is very true, but I want take this time to really unpack what is fluff?  So let’s just really get down to it.  And no I am not talking about this fluff.

Fluff is any added verbish or content that does not add any value or meaning.

A perfect example of what a fluff article would be like is piece of writing work that you read completely through and once your read it completely.  You still don’t know what the point or what the whole piece was about.  Fluff articles almost are never remembered.

Fluff in my opinion is a complete of time to write and read.  It never really makes a point and just continues to go on and on about the topic with out adding much value or depth.

If you want to become a successful write you hav to cut the fluff out and start writing some true content that adds value, draws points, and engages the readers.

I don’t see any good use for fluff articles!

The real question for your is are you writing fluff? Or are you writing read articles that keeps the readers coming back?

In the comments, share your thoughts on how to write more engaging, non fluff, and interesting writing.

I too see fluff all the time. I see it a lot from Site Pro News at http://www.sitepronews.com (although sometimes I’ll get a grain of insight into writing better content; or at least search engine friendly content).

I think fluff pieces are usually written when someone is trying to keep to a schedule. They don’t really write to contribute, they just write. They are keeping things going and not really thinking things through. At least that is my perception, anyway.
