What Do Search Engines Love?

If you have not figure out by now ALL search engines want quality fresh content.  What they are wanting is new fresh content that delivers the information that readers want to tell others about.

Great content is a must

Search Engines are are not giving in to low quality, run of the mill information, or even these simple information that can be found just on every other site. What search engines are looking for is the quality and fresh content that keeps your readers on your site longer than a few seconds.  You going to have start deliver this type of content and keeping your information fresh.

Do you want to test this?

Okay.  I challenge you to go to any search engine and type in any keyword.  And tell me if you see any post that is older than 2010.  If you I would like to see.  Because when I test and many others 80% of the time the information was all FRESH and relevant information.

This is way you need to keep testing, improving, and keeping your content fresh.

Keeping content relevant

The one thing I have learned that is constant in the world of the internet is change.  No matter what the internet is every changing, and it’s probably a good thing.  Though with that shared.  The same information, ideas, and even strategies that were relevant and worked 2 years ago don’t work today.  This is one of 3 reasons why I don’t take old seo advice.

Offering relevant information is going to increase your effectiveness to communicate to your audience in a real ways.  Staying up to date with the news trends, technology, and tactics are a MUST!

Test before changing

Though fresh content is very important, it’s not completely necessary to go change or update all your old content.  Don’t over analyze  but do test and see where your ranking with different articles with your blog.   The biggest no no is go creating fresh content just for the sake of it.  Make sure you have a true content marketing strategy in place before creating new fresh content.

The bottom line

Keeping your content fresh and providing quality information to your audience is becoming the most important factor in ranking your site higher and higher.  The sooner your able to grasp onto this idea the better off you and your site will be.  And the higher you will start ranking.

    Hi Eric.

A good point raised here – I’ve just done a quick search for “SEO Tips” and the oldest post I could find was on page 2 and was from 13 Jan 2010.

It was from Business Insider though.

      Hey Mark,

I did the exact search and I believe that article you are talking about from the Business Insider come up as #20 for more. Everything else was within the last 3 to 6 months from what I saw.

    Hi,
the search engines only love the Unique content? I have little bit doubt here, if i am going to update one new content which is unique and high quality. and my friend also did the same with the same keyword that i have used.

Now i shared in social media sites and my friend built some comments below the content. Which content is holding the position search engines top priority.myself or my friends content?

Great post, it really does point to the new SEO reality – the content has to be professional, diverse and relevant, which wasn’t the top priority a few years ago, when the net was flooded with all kinds of repetitive text characterized by grammatical mistakes that had to be “made up for” by an image overload.

You have hit on a very compelling point that I had not thought about. At my website I have many tax articles and some may be as old as 2010, so I need to check them out. An update of those articles may be in order. Thanks for the insights here.
