Figure Out What People Want and Give it to Them Now!

The internet dream of any business, company, or website is to be ranking on the first page of all the major search engines for the heavy traffic keywords such as “mortgage loans” or “lawyer”.  It’s a fact that any site that can rank for those keywords is accomplishment financially!  Though with that comes the difficulty to maintain and achieve that level of success. To be honest, the levels of competition for those types of keywords are almost impossible for anyone without a monthly budget $5K minimum.

Just being straight up honest!

One of my successful strategies has been to target the low to medium competitive keywords.  In most cases these keywords are a longer tail keyword, set of keywords, or combination of keywords.  Through using this strategy I have been able to effectively generate a lot of traffic. Keep in mind that these keywords are still moderately competitive which results in exertion to rank well, but nowhere close to ranking the mega keywords shared above.

Though, I want to focus on different tactic that I have used for many years now in targeting more specific audiences.  This idea is targeting loads of low competitive keywords with longer search phrases. This process is easier to maintain and quickly rank which result in a lot of target traffic.

Let me break this down for you.  For example take someone that types in a search engine the term, “attorney” what are they really looking for.  You don’t know if they are looking for Attorney advice? Defense attonery? Or other Attorney’s. Though if you see searches for “free bono attorney” you know more specifically of what they are wanting. Two things result from this:

  1. This narrows your target.
through this your able to know exactly what they are looking for and if they are looking to purchase
  2. Conversions rates improve resulting in a higher revenue per click.
This improves your numbers and revenue.  Don’t always look at the number of people searching because these are the people searching to purchase.

In and outs

A few questions I do this is by using all the free resources around and Google has a ton of them.  For starters just go to Google and type in the phrase “what is” and see what pops up. These are my results:

One thing to look for is the other suggestiosn below the search and you can see what google suggests here:

I be honest I don’t know what a hob knocker but I guess someone is searching for it.  This list shares with you other popular search ideas.

Using this list you can continue to dig deeper by typing the phrase “what is illumiati” and you will get this new list of suggestions:

illuminati members
illuminati symbol
illuminati pictures
what is illuminati new world order
what is illuminati religion
illuminati history
what is illuminati yahoo

This is just an example of how I continue expand, explore, and examine more specific keywords.  Also, it’s important to think like a person and look for the right questions that people are searching for looking for the answer.  Just think about the potential when you start creating pages answer these type of questions, with the exact question within your title, or even offering a quality product review that can be the solution to these questions.

It’s literally that easy! Once you get the hang of this it’s a great recycling process to do it all over again with another keyword.

This is best when you start thinking with the who, what, when, where, why, and how?

Again these targeted keywords with full length questions are worth looking into.  While, they may not be huge in traffic, remember who will it be attracting and the most important the competition is minimal.

Another great example, I just typed in “how to” into got and saw something very interesting:

how to lose belly fat fast

When I do research off this keyword I see the sixth page listed on Google that has less than 10 quality back links.  Here is the real key when you go to Google Keyword Tool it shows that is has 8,100 monthly searches (local).  I am just giving someone a perfect keyword to take advantage of with a very nice niche that I honestly believe if you can get more than 9 quality backlinks you could rank well for fairly quickly.  Plus, just think of the endless products that could be created, promoted, or just a good quality adsense site around this keyword.

If I have gotten your attention and your still interested in researching these type of questions.  I will try to help get you started even more by thinking of the right questions or terms to start with.  Below are just some terms I have used before:

    1. looking to purchase
    2. looking for
    3. where can I
    4. where can I find
    5. where to
    6. where to find
    7. how can I
    8. I need help
    9. what to do
    10. what is

This is just to help get you started with some brain storming.  As you can see the results can be endless if you just dig in and research through Google on your own.  Hopefully that list should help get you started.

I love that idea of getting ideas from typing in “how to” and “what is”. I’m going to make a note of it for next time I need some ideas.
