Let’s face it: page views are the driving force behind many bloggers’ efforts. Page views are what get us out of bed every morning and what keeps us awake at night. As bloggers, much of our time is spent on thinking up ways to boost our page views, although the answer isn’t always as straightforward as we would wish.
The thing to realize is that while blogging may take years to really deliver on the results, there are many things you can do right now–as in, this very minute–to boost your page views. By putting in a few hours of work every day, you will see much more results more quickly than if you spent the next several years putting in only a few minutes of work every day. Here are a few time proven tips on how to get people to check out your site in droves.
Use “3 Tips” in your titles
Have you ever wondered why so many online articles are entitled with “3 tips” or some variation thereof? Because they work! To put it as simply as possible, most people simply don’t have a lot of time to spend online, no matter how beneficial it may be for their business. People are always on the lookout for quick tips that they can use right now; right this very instant. Not everyone has the time to spend poring over a long article filled with technical jargon. But you can bet that they have time for “Quick-And-Easy 3 Step Tips”! Use this time proven method, and you definitely have a good chance of pulling in the numbers when all other methods have failed.
Spread out your writing
In most cases, your efforts would be better served by writing several shorter articles a day rather than a single long article. Think about it this way: with a 1500-word article that takes you about 3 hours to write, you might be able to get 100 people to read it. And that is a way optimistic assessment.
If you wrote 5, 400-word articles on the other hand, you might be able to get about 30 people to read each of them. Better still, the people who read one article are likely to be interested in your other content, and you will already have something to offer them.
It all comes down to efficiency. In most cases, blogging is about grabbing the attention of your readers as quickly as possible and maximizing the results that you get from your efforts. By spreading out your content into easily digestible chunks, you can gain a lot more mileage than if you were to place all your eggs into one basket.
Use the power of automation
There are only so many hours in a day, and not everyone is able to keep up the pace around-theclock. By utilizing automated processes however, you can get a lot more out of your workday without necessarily beating yourself to the ground. Forget about doing everything manually. Work smarter, not harder–perform your updates via an automated system and you will have the results to show for all your hard work.
