Create New Ideas
When you start glancing at old blog posts, often times I get inspired. I remember some of the really good ones, and some of the really bad ones. I can remember first time I wrote an article that got over 50 blog comments, and the ones that I wish I would have never published. I enjoy looking through my old posts and digging great post and see what I can do to add, bring relevant again, and really dig deep giving my readers even more value in regards to the topic.
Share Some Link Love
Sharing outgoing links is one way to attract the search engines, and will also draw attention to from the other sites that you link to. Always make sure your linking to relevant content. Linking is always a give and take relationship. I personally feel you always have to give before you take any links. Give this a shot, and you could even link to my site and I promise I will return the favor J
Don’t forget about the blog comments
When sifting through your old posts another think that I like to do is to read through all the different blog comments. This is another great way to see what people are talking, looking for, interested in talking about, and wanting to know more information about. So many times blog comments will spur on my next blog post about that topic. In regards, to blog commenting do not be afraid to comment using a link to one of your previous posts to help expand on that topic for your reader.
Create Internal Links
This is a simple must SEO technique. When writing your next blog insert a link to one of your deep quality blog posts. This helps several different things such as keep readers longer on your blog which is measured by search engines, creating quality internal links, and keeping things fresh and updated. Don’t forget that it works both ways. Using internal links from old blog posts point towards new content, and using new blog posts to point towards your older content are both great ways to create some solid internal links.
Continue to Build the Relationship
Look through old post that helped you connect with your readers. Starting tapping into those resources and expanding more. Make things personal, real, and helpful. Relationship at times can be just as important has the delivery and content itself. Through that will only grow your audience and a loyal audience at that.
