Your completely missing out if you don’t utilize and leverage forums! There is no if, and, or buts about it. Its time you start to work smarter than harder and tap into some very valuable, free, resources through forums.
Forums are a great place to find people just like you, learning, and doing the same things. On most forums some better than others are gargantuan of information to dig through. This is a great way to meet others, expand your network, continue assemble a brand, and be of assistance others.
Here is my list of the best forums you should be looking into:
Digital Point Forum - https://forums.digitalpoint.com/
The Digital Point Forum is probably the forum that I have been in the longest. This is a great place for beginners to get started. It’s one of the larger if not the largest forum with a good selection of topics to interact with.
The Good – the Digital Point Forum is a great because there are so many active members. You should get a fast response, quick commenting, and even find some great resources. The best part of about Digital Point so far this is still a 100% free forum.
The Bad – To be completely honest, I have seen this forum really go downhill over the last several years. The standard, quality, and content over all is getting pretty weak in my opinion. Yes there are some great people still there, and yes there is good information and resources. Overall I would only suggest this forum to beginners only. I hope Digital Point can turn things around, but the way it’s looking going to be irrelevant within the 2 years if they continue down the road they are headed.
The Best – Though, Digital Point Forum, best is the great section, categories, and easy navigation through this forum. The selection and vast topics that this forum covers makes it probably one of the largest and most active forums that I know of. This is one of the few forums that I know where you ask a question or leave a comment and within minutes if not sooner someone will be responding with good insight. This forum covers everything from Search Engine, Business, Marketing, Design, Development, Market Place, and even Partnership section.
The Stats – Digital Point forum has 685,005 members with over 2,220,490 threads, and 16,787,732 posts.
Warrior Forum - http://www.warriorforum.com/
Warrior Forum is another great forum and has been around since 1997 helping marketing of sorts online. This is another very popular forum that has a lot of great knowledge on it.
The Good – The Warrior Forum is a great place to find some of the best marketing information around. They are some really helpful people, and information is some of the best when it comes to forums. There are several paid options that come with the forum, but the free section is nice as well. The best option that I continue to hear everyone talk about is the WSO offer. If you have heard of this WSO term yet you need to check it out for yourself.
The Bad – The standard here is pretty high. I have noticed that if you don’t bring you’re A game, or have your stuff in line people on this forum are going to have your lunch. That’s why I would not suggest this forum for beginners. The can be a pretty hard to break into some of the inner circle with this forum. But if you buy your time and do your dues you will slowly be able to break through and really benefit from this forum.
The Best – This is one of the best forum within the internet marketing niche. So literally everything from start to finish can be found of how to set up a nice solid internet marketing business. They have experts that continue to share great content, information, and just helpful tips all around. Everyone is welcomed, but I still believe that this forum is best geared for someone that has a little experience under their belt. But the most important is having the right attitude and the willingness to dive in and learn and listen. I have known several people that have learned how to complete start an internet marketing business from this forum alone.
The Stats – Warrior Forum has well over 599,303 members with 485,039 threads, and over 6,481,593 posts.
Wicked Fire - http://www.wickedfire.com/
Wicked Fire is a well known for being one of the top Affiliate Marketing forums around. This forum is not necessarily strictly for affiliate marketers, but is for sure geared more towards that audience.
The Good – This is yet another solid forum with tons of information to sift through and be able to take in all the valuable knowledge that is right at your finger tips. This is a well kept forum that has a solid admin that will clean up posts if they do not follow the guidelines that are clearly posted. This forum also offers some of the best information about PPC (pay-per-click) and CPA (cost-per-action) information, networks, and being able to connect with many others that deal with that type of affiliate marketing on a daily basis.
The Bad – This forum if you’re not careful can be a bit on the side of rudeness, raunchy, and vulgar. I know persona there has been several times where I clicked and was completely shocked to what I saw or even read. With that said I would not feel comfortable having my children on this forum a long. Just to much out there that I personally would not want them to see or be a part of. I also so a lot of newbie coming and trying to over step boundaries with that said I would highly suggest if you’re a complete newbie to take your time to learn, read, and look around before posting. Lastly, one thing that has been changed here recently on Wicked Fire is the paid version. There are certain restrictions now that you can only pay to post on certain topics or when wanting to advertise your service or product.
The Best - Overall, this is yet another solid forum that you could easily learn a lot of information and especially in regards to affiliate marketing. Though, even affiliate marketing aside there is still tons of great information ranging from blogging, SEO, to internet marketing as well.
The Stats – Wicked Fire has close to 163,004 members with over 135,423 threads, and about 1,903,011 posts.
Site Point Forum - http://www.sitepoint.com/forums/
The Site Point forum is probably geared more towards web design, webmaster, but still covers a lot of information in regards to anyone looking to run a website, blog, or internet business.
The Good – This is another large and active forum. The information that you can find for web design everything from CSS, html, php, and ruby. If you have any specific coding or web design questions this would be my first forum to check out. Back in the day I will admit this was one of my largest marketplaces. I will admit that I have not been real active on this forum in some time. Though it looks as if the marketplace is still fairly active. This is a great way to connect with people looking to hire someone.
The Bad – There for a while this forum it seemed as this forum was just really slowing down, and so I had stopped paying much attention to this forum. Though, it seems as if its back up and fully active. One thing I have noticed compared to the other forums suggested. Posting on this forum you may not get that quick of a response and probably nearly as the many compared to the other forums mentioned.
The Best – Site Point is for sure one to check out and start visiting. Regards this forum has been around through the times and still have tons of high quality posts. Again when it comes to web design you can get tons of help, information, and just learn to sharpen your designing skills. The thing that sticks out the most to me about this is the actual site point site has tons of updated content that continues to be posted almost daily. Were as the other forums really don’t have this kind of content. It’s a great site to visit even without going to the forum, but I feel as if the forum is great addition.
The Stats – Site Point forum has 629,861 members with over 950,282 threads, and 4,684,548 posts.
Black Hat World - http://www.blackhatworld.com/
Don’t be misled by the title this forum is not really something that goes again Google guidelines. This community is worth a visit, and you will be surprised how balanced this forum really is with a solid group of true white hate seo guys.
The Good – This forum is a great community that has some very nice content for every level. You can find some great tutorials, free giveaway, offering sample services, and much more. This forum has a little of everything obviously covering SEO, but this forum still covers internet marketing, web design, and programming. Again can not state this enough this forum clearly has white and black SEO techniques covered throughly throughout this forum.
The Bad – The only real thing I can say about this forum is that you must be somewhat careful in trying to figure out whats the best way or strategies with SEO. This forum offers ideas, tips, and strategies all across the board some are good, great, and some dangerous. Being able to fully understand what black hat seo is and what are the full comeuppance could be when black hat seo is implemented.
The Best - BlackHatWorld is vastly known to be one of the best blackhat forum. Mainly due to the fact that it has the largest amount of active members within the blackhat sector. Plus, this forum has such a large array of quality info, SEO info, and step by step tutorials. The SEO is literally top notch throughout this whole forum and can be such a valuable assest for any webmaster should be working towards staying on top of the SEO strategies.
The Stats – This forum has 511,035 members with 468,627 threads, and 4,431,139 posts.

Before You Start in Any Forum
Here is just some tips before you get all fired up and start posting in any forum. I would suggest you start by reading this great write up on “How to be Conversation Firestarter” before you sign up or join any forum not matter which one you choose.
Make sure your reading and understanding all the guidelines within the forum. One of the quickest ways to get banned, closed, or even just flat out slaughtered is by not following the rules that are posted clearly for everyone to read. They are there for a reason, so make sure you understand and follow them.
Don’t go in with the mind set or attitude that you know it all and that it’s all about getting more backlinks or exposure for your site. This is just one of the worst ways to start off by going into a forum and just start posting links back to your site with out providing relevant, quality content.
One thing that you can do is take advantage of your signature. In most forums the signature is free game to promote any site you would like. The best part is that this link will be showed on every post you write, so it could be a valuable backlink for your site.
Always try to help others first. Look through the forum and see how you can offer help, information, or even give feedback to everyone asking or looking for a little extra help. Also, before jumping in and starting a new thread its always ideal to search the forum and make sure that someone has not already asked that exact same question. It’s just a great practice, and can save a lot of embarrassed.
Lastly, forums are a great resource no question about it. Though with that said forums can be a huge time sucker. What I mean by this is one lost in looking at all the great information and before you know it you have spent a lot of time through one forum. This could be fun, but also a huge distraction to actually accomplishing work.
